I've never used fluorocarbon as mainline, but I'd imagine warm water might soften it a bit more and make it go on the spool better than cold water?

Unless anyone knows different that all I do. Some people then walk it out along a field amd scretch it. I never bother, I just accept that the first few times you use it it will be bad, it soon settles down with a little use.

Yea, to be honest I don't even find it bad. Is it just me? Xline 20lb on 14000 spools, I have no issues? Never stretch it or anything.
