Had a look at a few youtube reviews on the cheap Chinese bait boats. The majority were quite favourable and we can't all afford the more expensive ones can we?
The one thing that did concern me was the ferocity of the bait dispenser and how they all seemed to imply it wouldn't last long.
Just wondered if anyone had bought one and if so did you have any problems with the dispenser breaking etc.?

What is cheap? the New direction bait boat 2 is £549 + Uk support, most boats of that quality cost twice as much, those cheap Chinese ones wouldn't waste money on them.

I currently have this one from Aliexpress. It does everything it is supposed to do, is reasonably well made albeit a bit on the light side. The hoppers are just small and rectangular but dispense bait well, the on one the back that is supposed to be used for dropping rigs and bait is OK but not great at all for stiff rigs as its too small, for rigs in PVA bags/soft hooklink its OK. I honestly would much prefer a catamaran style boat with long hoppers as it can hold stiff rigs much better... but if you are on a tight budget then these boats do the job but aren't as flexible at dropping large quantities of bait or longer stiff rigs.

I had one,the one with the single rear hopper. Never had any issues and battery life was brilliant. I also managed to slow the hopper release with rubber bands and added alloy wheel weights to the underside of the Hull to make it sit better in the water.

Thanks for the replies guys. JC are we just talking rubber bands like the Royal Mail use or something much stronger?

I drilled a hole in the top of hopper both sides , rear of hopper by the springs. Bolted an M4 bolt through the hole each side so about 8mm was sticking out each side of the hopper. Looped a rubber band through the handle then hooked it on the bolt thread that was sticking out. I tried different types of bands just normal bands worked perfect. Anything too strong wasn't releasing with the weight of the bait in the hopper.
