I've got a set of rods that I'm stripping down in preparation for a re-build, I've got the Rings, Handle and Duplon off successfully and found string with Resin / Adhesive under the reel seat and obviously the adhesive from where the Duplon was fitted.
I've got the string off but there is a fair bit of resin left.
Question is, what is the best way of removing both from the blank without going at it too hard?
The Rods are Daiwa Powermesh, does anyone know somewhere I could get the original Decals recreated for when I have the re-built? The ones above the reel seat and maybe even the old original Daiwa Union Jacks from the bottom of the handles.

Heat and a sharp Stanley knife. Can give it a bit of wet and dry after if need be aswell
