Just wondering anyone with the new shimano ultegra xte 14000 reel when you spooled them up did you have to add any washers to the spool shaft the get level line lay . I've just spooled my 2 reels up and the line is coneing more at the top and big gap at the bottom of the spool I've checked the spool shaft it has 1x thick washer at the bottom and 1x thin washer at the top which are sat inside the plastic cog

Go on youtube, Terry Edmonds has a video explaining the addition of washers on that particular reel and how it cones upwards with them added

I've got 4 of the older ultegra xtd's, 1 needed a thin washer and 1 needed a thick washer..the other 2 were fine. I did just fish with them after adding but it didn't really sort it out until I respooled them. You kinda have to just guesstimate how much it is out although it's better to over do it so it cones forward than under do it and have to add more and respool again
