Hi All! My name is Ryan and I took over Kernow Fishery in Hayle Cornwall back in February. Since then we have worked hard to create a designated Match Lake and a Carp Specimen Lake.

We have also introduced a Kids Fishing Club every Saturday where every child pays only £1 and we provide everything, Inc Tackle, Bait and Tution. We started with 7 kids and now up to 76 a week!

We have large Grass Carps 26lb+ plus there are some big Carp but a nightmare to catch due to the large number of 6-8lb Carp. I am planning on netting the lakes this Autumn.

Since February I have seen a BIG Common only 4 times, when the weather is stormy and the fishery is empty. I have been working the last 6 months to get this big common feeding in a spot, which I am confident that one day I will get her out. Easy 28lb+

I know that there may have been times in the past that visitors to Kernow may have faced appalling customer service, and a run down venue but I would like to reassure the Community that things have changed!

The new Fishery ethos is Community and Affordability ensuring that everyone is friendly, respectful and helpful.

I hope to see some of you in the future and if anyone would like to volunteer or help by donating old fishing gear for Kids Club that would be amazing!

I came down to have a look in the summer and I was impressed by the lakes and all your hard work .
you made me very welcome to have a look round.

unfortunately i ran out of time on my holiday to have a fish so will be back next year.
