Currently using braid, and am a bit of a braid virgin. I am probably 90% happy with it apart from the alarms going off whenever a roach farts nearby.

I fish 40lb PowerPro with probably 1.5 rod lengths of fluro as a leader. At a distance of 50+ yards, and with time allowed to sink, how much of the fluro which actually remain on the bottom once the braid (floating) is slowly tightened down? I'm concerned that tightening down will lift the fluro up, as you need to get the floating braid to cut through the water to meet the leader knot.
