Did anyone ever take over this place? Was a belter. Know John and Ben left and the stock was sold, such a good lake, surprised no one has considered it to build it up again.

As far as I'm aware it has never opened up again. I believe the owner died and the lake was left to their children who didn't want it. From memory John & Ben tried to catch and move the main lake stock prior to the end, I am not sure where those fish went though. John passed away recently if you didn't already know. Used to really enjoy it there.
Apologies if I stand to be corrected, this was just what I was told, not from the horses mouth.

No I'd not heard about Johns passing. What a top bloke, great character. Taught me a lot. Used to love going there, still searching for a similar place. Ben was a top lad as well, great chats over a few pints in the bar. Shame no one has taken it on, and re stocked it, was a stunning lake.

Agreed. Used to enjoy the fishing and all of John's stories.
