Anyone know the difference between the Gardner hydro sink and the Noir. Apart from breaking strain 22 and 25 lb and I see one is black and one is green.
Is one better, or worse, than the other?
Gravel pits with silt pockets and weed. No distance casting involved. 20 wraps max.
I'm using 15lb esp syndrome at the momnet, ending up with lots of curly line from putting the pressure on fish to pop the weed stems.
Will there be a benefit by switching to braid.

Noir is considerably heavier and sinks faster than any other braid I have ever used - almost like fluro. Make sure it's wet when you cast and it cuts through the surface film. However it's pretty thick and you can almost feel it falling out of the sky when you cast. It's good for about 90yrds no problem.

I have been using the Noir this year and can put it 120, I'm not the best caster in the world. It's already starting to fade and needs to be wet to sink. If it's not wet it wont sink well at all, I would say it doesn't sink as well as Fluro but it does sink very well. I haven't used the standard hydrosink but apparently the Noir is better in terms of sinking ability.

Noir is thicker than standard hydro sink think its about .43 uncrushec so thicker than stated it sinks alot better than the standard but doesn't cast aswell I have used standard my mate has Noir on his rods. I now use the TA stuff 👍
