Hey there fellas, I've been messing about with flavoring up some peanuts for hooks baits with essential oils and citric acid. I'm just curious how much essential oil and citric acid others would add to a pint jar. I've been doing a tsp of citric acid with 3-4 drops of oil but am considering going higher. Very interested to see what everyone's thoughts are. I'm also considering adding some msg to the mix as well.
I've just cooked up massive batch of tigers an added a citrus flavouring in when soaking before cooking an I'm pretty shore most the flavouring was lost through boiling even though adding a decent amount. May be a little different when only soaking nuts.

Do you add the citric acid and EO after boiling?
For me, a tsp of citric acid sounds a lot. I would half this amount and keep the dosing of the EO.

Be very sparing with Citric Acid.
From Feedstimulants website.
Recommended dosage per kg dry mix:
Use around 0.5 – 1%. Maximum dosage 2%, depending on other ingredients used. Using too much will make bait repellant.
