Kent tackle are selling the spomb lr rods for £119 with a manufacturing defect as the rods have been marked up as the mr version. Obviously it's only cosmetic and saves some cash, I bought myself one a while ago when they were slightly cheaper, comes with all the tags etc saying lr, just the graphic on the rod is incoreect.

I think whichever you go for will do the job you want it to, I know the spomb rod is the older model, not sure if it's a fox blank or whoever spomb used originally. But in my less than capable hands the spomb rod works great, I've only fished to 20 wraps with mine so far and it makes spoding feel easier from what I was using.

Tacklebox customer service is far better than Fox,when this rod is discontinued you won't get spares for it.I would go for the Tacklebox rod everyday of the week
