I'm looking for a new head torch as the one I've got has had it's day. The one I've got at the moment is to big and bulky and not ideal. I need a fairly bright one as my eyes are not goot in the dark for doing knot's and so on what you guys use and recommend

gets my vote

I have just taken delivery of a Klarus HM1 head torch to replace my NU25 (dog chewed) and am very impressed. A fair bit bulkier but comfortable and the range of light options and jesture control is a nice feature.
I would recommend it over the NU25 for the £22 I paid for it.

I've got the Fenix shadowmaster..you won't get much brighter than that..although it is quite bulky. I use a petzl tactikka if it's just a quick session.

v2 is higher lumens so brighter

I can vouch for the Nightcore NU25 v2, brilliant light.

is this the one with the yellow headband and the chord and toggles at the back??

They do two types one with the half yellow and cords and the NU25 UL which just has cords.
I went for the UL version.

Yes, same head torch just a different strap. The youtube clip I watched said the yellow strap has two silicone rubber strips on the inside so if you were using it for running it would stay in place if you were sweating.
