Just bought a deeper chirp +2 and when using it where on the screen of your phone is the deeper located when in the water? Is it sat directly above the depth info on far right of your phone screen? Cheers.

so sorry after reading above post I realised I foolishly assumed you were using it on a bait boat
everything you see is history as it has to pass over it to see it so its mostly behind the boat by the time you see it at normal speed
BUT depends on how fast the boat is going you can briefly see the bait drop if your boat is really really slowly just drifting speed

yes the far right of the screen gives the latest reading, this will always be slightly behind where your deeper but would depend on the ripple and how fast its moving towards you, presume you care casting and not using a boat?
The chirp +2 is great but i've found you need to have a marker float out there as a point of reference in order to detail your exact spot. If you scan tight to the marker float the deeper will show your mainline on the screen so you can see exactly where it is in and of course how your line lays back to the rod. I use 0.40mm braid, not sure the deeper would pick it up if it was any thinner.

Best idea is to pick a day or area of the lake that has no wind on it and then you can detail that area, if you have bows in your line from the breeze then the results will not be too accurate, you ideally want that deeper to come in an exact straight line towards you.
