How do you use the spool reducers on 5000t's ? I've never used them before they don't clip together or anything, do you have to tape them on or something ? I feel like I'm being really thick here but I'm not sure 😂

I tie my line to the spool, slip the reducer on, wrap the line around it a couple of turns by hand and then wind the line on.

Some cheap line backing will do the same thing, and give you something to tie bew line too whenever you respool

I taped my reducer's up with electrical tape and did a few wraps of it so the line would bed into the tape.

My tourneys just arrived and I've put a line reducer on the spool and it has a gap. The reducer don't seem big enough if I squeeze the reducer down the gap does close up quite abit but there's still a 3-5mm ish gap. I only had quick look before tea, but will have a better go tomorrow when I spool up my line. Hopefully the line will pull it all together fully if not ill stick to old backing line.

This is normal. As per the other post, a few wraps of electrical tape pulls them in tight, then just load the line as normal.
