Hi,

Booked to go here as a lake exclusive in September this year.

Booked on a recommendation but was wondering if anybody has anything useful to share about the place?

May be worth checking if there are still sturgeon in there. If yes, prepare to be wiped out on occasion

I believe most have been removed

Great lake, fished it many times.
The grassies can be anoying at moments.
Most swims produces exept the 2 corner swims in the main part.
Mehdi is the nicest guy you can meet...

Not the water it was many of the big fish are no longer in there .Used to be my favourite water i loved the place .Full of trailers last time we went maybe this is why fish have been lost over the years
Sturgeon and grassies ruined our last trip they have always been a problem there .We did get told most had been removed but at times you could have 3 rods wiped out every 10 mins or less on some swims .Mehndi did little to upkeep the fishing he just left it and whilst it's good to be left alone the place slipped and got progressively worse over my last 3 trips
Shame as it was a brilliant lake 10 15 years ago even did me a brace of 60s one night .Lots of fish were lost to bad angling and not replaced .Mendi is a lovely bloke but despite knowing what has gone on over they years he still leaves everyone alone to do whatever they want .He knew nothing of the thousands of catfish that were pestering anglers I guess the drop in bookings may have pushed him to try and sort it out along with the continual complaints about the pain in the arse sturgeon ..
