Hi all. As above.. keep getting these super draw things coming up on my FB feed.. Are any actually worth having a punt on. Don't intend to go mad on tickets if I decide to give them a whirl. Any idea on what I'd need to cough up to get a semi decent return?

So I've entered the capital carp competitions a few times. It seems reasonable. I've not had much luck but I never do! I suppose yeah, it's gambling, their are clearly people that spend a lot of money on it, and would probably be better just buying what they win 😂😂 but as with anything, in it to win it etc etc

It should say somewhere how many tickets there are. Lots of these competitions I see the prize is worth £500, but they are selling £3000 worth of tickets, sometimes more. I'd bet nearly all the carp tackle competitions, you would be far better gambling else where for money. And then buying the thing. But somehow people get tricked into playing terrible odds, because their is a picture of some bite alarms.

Played a few times, never won but only ever bought 1 or 2 tickets for a couple of the draws, it's a bit of fun for me.
One thing I don't quite understand though is how so many can be doing it, it's considered gambling (which is why the majority have the super easy question as you're purchasing since this changes the regulations around it) but seems there is little to no oversight of the behind the scenes.
Be interesting to see how it plays out over the next few years, can't see this many continuing

Years ago if you dreamt of getting rich quick, you'd rob a bank. Quite a high chance of getting caught though and spend half your life in prison. These days you set up an on-line gambling Company. Guaranteed jackpot from mug punters and no chance of prison.
If you enjoy having a flutter, carry on, it's a free world. How you squander your money is your personal choice!

I know people say they make huge profits which they do but people don't realize there's big overheads too. Advertising, premises once they get big, card transactions on every purchase.

I have a go on the capital carp one every now and again I look at it like its a bit like buying a scratch card if you dont mind a flutter every now and again and can afford it i dont mind that. Some have better odds than others and it says on there how many tickets for each prize well it does on capital carp. You can watch the live draws on there facebook page which i do every now and again but as others have said its gambling thats not really regulated or works within a grey area of gambling laws, its a bit of a shock (well it was to me) when they scroll through the entrants before each draw and you see the same two or three names coming up over and over i wouldnt like to think how much some folk have ploughed into them.

I'd definitely agree. Certain names on that must spend a phenomenal amount of money, and surely be better off buying the stuff 😂😂
However, we all have our vices, and if they get a kick out of it, enjoy it and they can afford it then fair play to them

I know, which baffles me why people play them you can see the odds and they are utterly terrible so why bother.
Some are doing ones where a ticket is £2.99 to try win 5kg of boilies. Sure the odds are fairly good with only 20 odd ickets. But why in gods name would you gamble that much money for such a measley prize

It's the buzz of the win and feeling of euphoria. Unfortunately it doesn't last that long but those addicted to gambling will pour money away that they can't afford to get that next fix.
