Does anyone know what the actual diameter of this stuff is as it's more than the stated 0.34mm surely?
The reason I ask is I have just spooled 3 x 5000T reels with 200m on each one and they are what I would call a bit 'overfilled'. Not a massive problem as I am boating not casting and I assume they will bed down a bit, but it was a bit of a shock seeing as I had just taken off 200 yards of Gardner Hydrosink (0.35mm) which was below the lip so was expecting it to fill pretty much spot on
Have to say it feels a lot thicker than the Gardner stuff.

Ive read its around 0.49mm thats what it also says on the ta website in brackets uncrushed

So it does, thanks for that. That would at least explain why it's seems a bit 'bulky' at the moment, hopefully settle down with bit of use

I thought the same when I spalled up with it, but after using it since release it's been the best I have ever used, definitely gets better with age.

It's a brilliant braid but if your wanting to fish 100yards plus it will take some effort, saying that it sinks like a brick an I've never had any issues with it frappling up.

If you go on thinking anglers website they give it as 0.34 ( 0.48 uncrushed diameter ) I would say that the 0.48 diameter is accurate after using it, Its mega stuff sinks well, tough not the best casting but you could get 100 yards out of it. It also comes with like a waxy coating on it this wears off and it becomes more supple after a few uses.
Thinking anglers are about to release a lighter version of it too this will be 30lb 0.30 dia ( 0.40 uncrushed dimeter) which may be worth waiting for if you worried about the thickness.

Is this for the 40lb braid?
Has anyone tried the (new) 25lb SBX version, it might (should) be able to
cast a lot further..and hopefully still sinks well
