Just bought a Sonik vader x pod to fish a certain peg on my lake.
Maybe a stupid question but are the bus bars supposed to be different lengths?
I'm not a pod user but the ones I've seen on the bank have always had the same length buzz bars either end

Some pods do this to make the tips spread a little...... Or wider for the reels with the tips pointing at each other

Yes I have both the 2 rod and 3 rod Vader x pods and the buzzbars on both pods have different length buzzbars

As mentioned they come like that. But I use two 11.5" Cygnet 20/20 3 rod bars front and back which makes it a nice compact setup. I keep planning to get a couple of 2 rod bars for tenching etc and use them on the 3 rod Vader X pod as having measurered up they will fit.
As for the sticks themselves on the Vader X pod, I also got some longer 16mm diameter JRC X-lite sticks as I find the two short sticks can be a bit too short in some swims especially on banks with a good slope.
As for different length bars I used do it in the past with the narrower one at the front so that my tips were closer together so I could see any little "taps or twitches" easier especially in Winter, but with 11.5" bars I don't have to do that now.

I just had a pod.made by Keith a defiant. I had the front 2 inches wider.
Frankly that's not going to spread your rods. But it does make them look

I've always thought that using same length bars front and back makes it look like the tips are pointing in towards each other. It may be an optical illusion due to the front bar being further away than the rear bar from the angle we usually see them from. It could also be due to the blank thickness tapering from the butt to the tip?
Either way, I've always used bars with at least 1.5” difference in length and used the wider ones at the front, it just looks better if nothing else lol
