Can any of the forum's bait experts shed some light on Milk proteins? Particularly Milk B and Lactose concentrate. I am look for some way of perhaps improving the digestibility and palatability of my mix.
Are there similarities between the two?
Is there any point in using both?
Would one complement the other?
Does the "B" stand for Butyric?
Up to what percentage would you suggest?
Thanks for any help.

I can't answer most of those questions but in terms of a percentage it will be tiny. I add a tsp into a couple of kilos and you can taste it in the powders.

I think digestibility and palatability should be at the forefront of the basemix you have put together. The core ingredients in your mix should be able to cover what you're after without adding any of the ingredients you mention. Different companies recommend different levels so check online. I think it's somewhere in the region of 5-15 grams per kg for milk b. It's personally not something I would put into a feed bait.

Neither of these are milk proteins, they are synthetic creamy/milky flavour additives. Nothing wrong with using them, at the recommended levels, but they are not milk proteins.
