Any up to date info on Hook ? I know they have had fish kill in the past and was wondering if its all settled down ? Im looking for a water not to far outside of London & this is close Any info appreciated.

I fished this lake many moons ago , it must have been circa 1986 , at the time every fish bar one or two were over 20lbs , a very magical lake steeped in history , it's mentioned in Carp Fever by maddocks.

Having said that it's not easy because of the soft deep silt , best tactic would be stalking them either with crust dog biscuit .

It used to be a four ways fishery lake along with snowberry. Think it's changed ownership a few times since this point. But a very picturesque lake. Oh and by the way they have a website.
