I'm looking for a small bag that I can keep my fortis marine jacket and liner in . Just big enough and not too big . I've been looking at the dry sack bags and wondered if these might be just the thing . As most of these are measured in litres I'm not sure the size I should be looking for . Has anyone else used these bags for this purpose and if so what size did you find best ? If not any other type of bag that would fit the bill . Incidentally fortis actually do one of these dry sacks but at 20litres I'm wondering whether they'd be too big , many thanks.

I'd say a 3 litre bag would do it seeing as you'll be expelling the air and compressing the jackets.

An uncompressed 3 litre bag is about the size of a 6 pint milk container.

I have been using "Dry Bags" for many years now for carrying clothing, thermal suits, sleeping bag etc in since buying one in Aldi's and use them up to 44 litre size which fits my sleeping bag.

A small bag around 5 litre would probably suffice, but bear in mind, a larger one about 10 litre when packed, will roll up into a small ball and just a bit bigger than a 5 litre rolled up and it gives you the option to pack more in if need be especially the cooler months when you might want to take more warmer and spare clothing.

I use a bright yellow 25 litre one for my clothing and can stuff as much or as little as I want and when rolled up and compressed, takes very little room up and is only slightly smaller than my 44 litre one with sleeping bag in when it is rolled up and compressed.

Oddly enough, I got a flyer yesterday selling them at a clearance price.

Thanks for the replies. I have just took a punt and ordered the speero in large which is 35cm x 36cm . Not sure if this may be the wrong size but cheap enough to take a punt , thanks .
