Just watching Fleetwood Mac on BBC FOUR, counting myself lucky to be born in the 60's. Lived through the big bangers in the 80s and 90s not to mention the dance and dj scene.
Kids today don't seem to have an Oasis, Fleetwood, Rolling Stones or Duran Duran, the music scene these days seems a much darker world.
The above not everyone's cup of tea I know, but the greats seem to be dieing and not being replaced.
I blame Simon Cowell 👍
And of course Woolworths on a Saturday buying that Black plastic single 🤣🤣

Although young I remember and love music from the 60's but didn't start buying music until the 70's
As regards Fleetwood Mac they were at their best when it was all about Peter Green, by the time they went MOR I was too busy pogoing to the likes of the Pistols.

I can see the attraction but festivals don't quite do it for me.Nearest I've been to a festival was the two all dayers headed by the Who in 74 and 76.
I prefer small intimate gigs. Went to see my mates group last Friday and my ears have only just stopped ringing. I don't care what I look like I'm going to take some ear plugs next time.

So were the support acts. From what I can remember
1974 Lou Reed, Humble Pie, Bad Company, Lindisfarne
1976 I can only remember Sensational Alex Harvey Band but they were suberb.
Then came 1977 and it all changed for me Marquee, Vortex, Roundhouse, Rock Garden and so many other smaller places,
So were the support acts. From what I can remember

I've twin 16 yr old daughters and one of their favourite tunes is Fleetwood's lies tell me sweet little lies. I've even seen them tapping their toes to the who's who are you..they even ask me .come on dad stick you tube on and show us some of your old rave stuff you listened to. raze break for love is one of their favourites. my house my rules

I can't agree with you there, some brilliant bands and artists in the 00s and 10s.
Funny how it goes tho, 2 or 3 hit albums in five years then 2 decades of **** and bickering, then lay low for a few years and get labeled iconic, sound of a generation, genius......
I think whether your 28 or 98, you will say music peaked when you were 15-25
