Fished it many times years ago unfortunately old info on my part I'm afraid, fish for a bite at a time on the edge of the gravel/silt, Frank has plenty of custom and the lake see's quite a bit of bait so you never know whats gone in the week before, they're active enough and its only a smallish lake so easily located.

A few mates went again recently this year end of October early November after many years of not having been there and all caught up to high 50's but the one that done the best had 16 carp in all and dropped 2 he was fishing a bite at a time and had never been to Franks before, he does work for my company so took my same advice fished it well and had some fun, Franks stock has always been of a good average size with not many fish below 30lb for a weeks fishing, I class it as the type of lake most are in with a very good chance of a 50+ through the week if they fish it well maybe even a couple I've had 3 in an evening when they're having a feed up, they will come to a decent bed of bait at the right time, there are plenty of carp in there and I believe the lads said Frank has removed a fair few of the cats that were in there, they only picked up a couple through their week recently which is a vast change to how it used to be, I think they said frank has 6 or 7 x 60lb+ carp nowadays I believe Swirly is long gone which was the 80+

I first fished it when it was Lac Sebastian when Frank bought it from Chris Woodrow its always had a good head of carp and your only at the end of the track from the Goncourt complex , that area is like the Cotswolds lakes everywhere, nice to have a day off the rods and go looking.

Good Luck on your trip

Cannot remember the names of all the swims to be honest but my favored area of the lake was the left hand bank near the island in the last swim a nice mixture of gravel spots and silt out in that corner of the lake and of course a bit of the island to fish to but to be honest they come from all swims they're usually pretty well spread out.
Are you sure?
