Fished with my mate in June this year he had three of the RM markerpoles sets with the lights worked well nothing to not like really they claim 350m on the remote, that I couldn't answer but he was using them at around 130m with no issues the remote worked at that distance. Nash are bringing out some marker pole kits, no remote light only light reactive they look reasonable enough and RRP is set at 69.99 a set, by the time they hit the market they could be cheaper in certain shops, I shall take at look at them when they're out.

I have a full set of these, and I'd avoid them,

Mine have basically ended up warping and bending like hell, as they're made of a really flexible bendy plastic.

In the end I binned them, and made my own adjustable ones using a length of dowel, a hair band and a weight on the bottom, with some reflective tape on top.

The dowel is 7ft long, and the weight is connected by some braid via a steel eye screwed into the bottom, so fully extended they'll go as deep as 14ft.

1000x better than any pole you can buy. (unless you need your poles to be 30ft long or something :D )

Thanks for the info guys, but interested in the Marka lites only.

I have 2 of these markalites, I only used them once in France, and they worked OK, but when I got back I got them out to show a friend, and the remote had packed up, I tried to re-teach them, but no joy. I bought it from an online tackle shop, didn't get a receipt, and can't remember who I bought it from. I phoned ridgemonkey customer service, but without a receipt they weren't interested unless I paid for the repair, which in my opinion is not worth it. Next week on my trip I'll just use the lites so that they come on at dusk and stay lit all night and see how it goes. Lesson learnt, always remember where you buy from and get receipts.
