Does anyone own any of the newer mk2 c2 rods? Im was considering getting a set of the 12' 3lb version. I was going to get another set of the stealth graphenes in 3lb test but dont really like the alps seats on my 2.5 graphenes and the c2's have a carbon seat all be it with alps collars so a bit better.

I have the original C2s and spoke to Century when the new versions came out regarding the differences - this was some time ago but I'm sure they said the blank was relatively unchanged other than extending the 1k wrap to the tip and it was otherwise a hardware update.

I found reviews of the original C2 hard to come by, got the impression that they aren't massively popular, presumably due to the cost.

I really like them - I was torn between these and a FBS at the time but glad I settled with the C2s. Mine are custom builds and super light paired with some Cast'izms, I have the 2.75lb T/C and imagine I could just about get 100yds out of them and they retain a really nice playing action. They have a fairly soft tip that slowly stiffens towards the butt, with a good fish on they bend most of the way though the blank.
