Im after a new barrow, any recommendations please? I dont want nothing massive just enough to carry enough kit for an over nighter or maybe a 48 hr session. Are prestige still the best? My last barrow was a nash trax metro which was excellent and quite a surprise as everything else ive bought thats nash has been garbage.

Prestige went down bank with build quality,they might be better now it's under new ownership.I have a Fox explorer deluxe and really rate it,I have had it since they came out and not had any issues

Had a carp porter (Prestige) 20 plus years ago then my fishing lakes changed for a long period when I never needed one so I sold it
I needed a new barrow myself then a few years ago and when I looked the market was flooded with all manufacturers offering barrows and Prestige carp porters were in short supply, I only needed something as you say for overnight 48hrs max so went for the Fox Explorer, unlike Braders I couldn't get on with it I found the handles and the thumb screws at 45 degrees tightening on the corners a pain no matter how tight I got them it felt like a lot of play like stirring soup when I loaded it up, I used it for a while until carp porters came back in stock which is when I got shot of the Fox and ordered a Prestige barrow, I've had no complaints on quality with it they have since sold out and Korda are now distributing them I believe But I couldn't possibly comment on quality now but I use the Prestige barrow again most weekends without fault, a Porter light is still a good choice in my opinion as a short session barrow.

Had no issues whatsoever with mine,im about to buy a powerporter though as the walks on the lake I'm on are an absolute nightmare

I would say a Fox Explorer with a little mod would tick all you boxes and great for short sessions
I dont unpack it to much and tend to fish off it due to the great side opening and storage cubes in the underbarrow bag
but a mod IS ! needed to stop the handles feeling like elastic
you need an add on crossbar or if you can get STILL manage to get hold of the Prestige spare handle with crossbar its a perfect slide in fit ?
or a quicker cheaper fix get a ratchet strap and put it across the handles and crank it really tight

Cheers Gerry, the fox looks good. I think its between that and another nash metro mk2. The only issue i see is the fox handles look quite low and im 6'4”. The metro looks very similar and has the cross brace on the handles that you mention.

Trakker X-Trail compact barrow is amazing, if a little pricey. I got mine from Go outdoors I think?
They are so compact hat you can leave it setup and wheel it into the boot of the car, only have to take the handles off. The bags can be left in situ or you can put them in your bivvy.
