Hi Gents,
I'm looking at replacing my tired old Aqua Roving rucksack and the two Speero models have caught my eye.
I tend to fish short sessions and move about a lot so I need a fairly compact but really comfy rucksack. Have anyone got any experience or advice on the Speero jobbies? Are they comfortable on the back, as from experience, shorter rucksacks can feel a little awkward on your back.
Also, are there straps available so that you can attach an unhooking mate etc?
Any advice is greatly appreciated, cheers 👍

Speero rucksacks are top quality build but for me all there gear is a bit big there are no straps for mat take a look at the esp ones they are comfortable and cheaper also the korum ruckbag is very comfortable

No straps for a mat and the compact is still a fair size tbh.I had the normal size and switched to the compact version and it fits in loads of gear,it is well made and very comfortable to carry

very happy with the compact version after a year+ use... there are no straps as such, but there are female webbing strap points on all corners, so you could make a strap easily with some webbing and the correct male part of the clips.
Well thought out, quality of material & zips is very good... big

I have the standard size speero rucky...had it for 3 years now...good quality kit, plenty of room and pockets well thought out, plus dedicated pocket for alarms banksticks etc...
Nice and comfy on the back with decent padded shoulder harness...

As I said build is quality material and zips but I don't think it is well thought out they didn't even put lift handles each side something even the cheaper rucksacks have and the body is to boxy and they could of put straps on for carrying a mat the trouble with speero gear it's based on the session angler with barra not the short session one also there small quiver is a bad design had them and the carryall with the horrible carry strap system sold it all

If you buy one of their shoulder straps and dont use the centre part you have 2 x top handles.

Are you talking about the carryall i know your trying to hep but I wouldn't have spent more money on straps to sort out a bad design
It's like the quiver no pockets for bank throw a distance sticks just this small pocket that's no use the carry handle is put in the wrong place it won't balance to carry take out same amount of gear put it in my ta quiver balance fine
I know that esp is not the same quality build but there carryall and rucksack is a much better design

no, im talking about the compact rucksack.... as they have the connection points to add the other modular bags i assume these are designed to take stress, and maybe grab handles that need to do the same dont work in conjunction... i added the shoulder strap connectors to make grab handles and its much better

Glade you sorted it but as I said I've sold it all I wouldn't have paid over £100 for a rucksack and then have to buy more straps
