Used to love my scope recon brolly. By the looks of the looks of it discontinued a long time ago in favor of the tiran hides. Do any brands bad anything similar in terms of back down size

Hi Shaun. I too love the recon. A lot of people said they were a gimmick when they first came out but it's the best brolly I've ever owned. Sadly my original broke, but that's probably done well over 200 sessions. Managed to find a 2nd hand one recently but they're mega rare.

I searched high and low for a decent replacement, but all the 45 inch brollys on the market seem so flimsy and shallow in comparison.

Is it packdown size your looking at?

Yes. I went and looked at a tempest brolly but hated the headroom aqua atom may be an option but its a lot of money
