My fb ac got hacked last week by someone from new york state? I managed to change the password and email back to my original ones , my problem is when i enter my login details , fb then asks for a code from my 2 step authentication code generator, which i have never heard of , in the past ive had fb send an sms or email a code when i get a new phone etc , all i seem to do is go round in circles . Customer care is next to usless, just promp question wich are not the questions i need to ask . I hope someone can help as ive got memories dating back to 2008 on my account . TiA .

That's a pain in the arse mate. So someone got into your account and turned on 2 step verification with their number so everytime you try to login they get the text. Afaik Facebook can send you a one time passcode to turn off 2 step and allow you to change the phone number to yours. They will want a form of ID from you to prove who you are but I think that's the way back in. Good luck
