Guys, I've just bought a litre of sticky liver and now find its chicken based with a very strong smell/taste. That fits in well with my savoury base but trying to come up with a flavour to compliment the liver?

JB Muskspice? Pretty meaty with a slight spicy back note. Used as a rabbit flavour in pet food.

Thanks mate, I'll have a look at that. I was considering going for black pepper oil as a backnote to the savoury/meat tastes

Flavour wise JB Chicken Tikka would work, or his Crab for a real stinker. A tandoori spice powder mix with fenugreek oleoresin is another option.
Great ideas fellas. My basemix is actually derived partially from ground cat biscuits so already has inherent flavours and with added brewers and the liver has a very powerful aroma so thinking about it I just need something to blend it all together. Looking at the JB range that seems a sensible way to go.

I've done well on most savoury flavours with liver but also on maple or maplecream and depending on the amount of liver whisky has been effective for me.

I've been doing the usual 1 egg testers and a bit of scopex actually seemed to come through quite well.

Was actually going to recommand that.
A combo of liver, scopex and fenugreek does miracles

Thanks for the suggestion mate. Seeing as I had those bits I rolled a kilo as fen/scopex at low level and smells ok, just need to let the fish decide now
