Booked in here and never fished it. Full of big stuff I hear but limited info online. Just wondering if anyone has fished it and has any advice?

Fished it a few times, once when Mark Holmes still had and twice after he sold it. It's not got the fish in, (size wise) that the new owner was lead to believe, stories of a sixty and 40 plus Ghosties are just that, stories....biggest is the snub nosed mirror which usually goes high 30's, although it has been a scraper 40 in the past. Otherwise a reasonable head of 20's in the main.
It's a nice place, small and intimate, shallow, (around 4 to 5ft at the deepest) and the water is quite coloured. It's not easy although get it right and you can have a few. The island gets hammered, margins are best, keep disturbance to a minimum.

Thanks mate that's super useful. I kept an eye on FB and a lot of the photos of catch's don't seem to be near the island so we may swerve that. Any tips on bait?

Think you will find it was Mark Holmes who lied about fish sizes in the lakes saying he caught 2x 50 fish..

Oh I think he caught them alright but whether they were still in there when he left is questionable....like has already been said there were Otter problems on there at least that could have accounted for their disappearance...

I heard when Mark Holmes went bankrupt he sold the 2 50s on.
