New bait boat user coming soon (I'm a complete bait boat noob), next month I will start fishing on 51 acre water (old sand quarry) where there is hardly any fishing at a distance of up to 165 yard

-Mainline Mono or Braided.

-I now use a Heli setup with Koda loop/booms, can I continue to use it in a bait boat.

-Which types of lead are best for a bait boat.

Any other tips for the setups for a new bait boat user

Since you're not casting I would go for a flat pear lead.
Braid is recommended due to the distance you're fishing.

But I don't like fishing those distance without the ability to fetch them with a boat.

If you're fishing at that distance id want a very heavy flat pear or even a gripper and braid for sure. Mono would have a lot of stretch when there's that much line out and a small lead could easily be towed out of place if the wind gets up.

This is one situation where I would advocate using a heli-safe, that way you can use the heavy leads, always fun reeling in a 6 - 8oz lead from 150+ yards though
