Afternoon all
I have got a week's holiday to take before the end of the year - work commitments mean this is likely to be in mid to late November and I am considering a week in France.
It will obviously be cold and out of the usual season - so I would be interested to know if it would be sensible to invest in a week at that time of year or do something else and just go next summer instead. I was thinking about a small-ish venue - probably a couple of acres - in the Normandy area.
I know there are no guarantees, but would rather not sit in the freezing cold for a week and blank - but not sure if I am being too pessimistic. If anyone has been at that time of year, it would be good to hear of your experiences.
I would also point out that I am a fairly novice carp angler - I have been fishing for years but only concentrated on carp for the last three or so years and will be aiming for more of a runs water than a difficult big fish venue.

Wild Boar at Abbey Lakes would probably fit the bill.

Thanks for all the responses - sounds like a trip to France is the front runner!
Bounty looks good - just need to check the Eurotunnel

as long as you accept it could be chilly, but then could be unseasonably warm been in shirt sleeves in November before and the nights are longer, but as long as you are prepared youll have a fab time

I think it would be a great time to go to France . Pick the right venue and I'm sure you will have a few
As a rule its not that cold at Le Bounty in November, just a bit chilly evenings and mornings.
The fishing can be excellent and at only £85 for up to a weeks fishing its a great deal, also ferries are much cheaper that time of year.
