am fishing Hunts corner middle of next month and just wondered if anyone on here has any tips on baits etc . fishing peg 3
also , anyone noticed any rats on Hunts as previously did a stint on B1 and was invaded with them

Good quality fresh bait, go in light for a start,I would use something different on one rod, maples,tares,ground nut or just something a little different. .been a few times rats never bothered me.

Went in May, mate fished peg 1, I fished peg 10. No rats. Crays were a problem for my mate, not so much for me though. He fished Scopex Squid, I fished a more fishmeal bait. Lots of Canadian weed close in and a pronounced shelf. Hooked fish seem to know where the shelf is and swim up and down it rather than out in the lake, so check your line if you catch. As the lake is long and thin, and the swims are not opposite each other, casting to the far margin is a good option. There is also a bar at about 40mts out.
It's a nice lake.
