So it seems GLL PLC that the Debentures are connected to has gone into liquidation

My mate bought one a few years ago, he's not particularly bothered, just a shame to potentially lose the fishing. I wonder what will happen to the place.

I do wonder about the legalities.
Who owns the land?
and where has all that money gone?
it was genius really, all that land, a big house.... was it all paid for by the debenture holders? and does the fella own all that now?
if the business is in administration does that mean you can no longer fish it?
cause if that's true and the fella who set it up owns it all, they now have the perfect scenario, millions of pounds worth of land and house and no anglers to put up with
I had a debenture for about 5 years and moved on so it doesn't directly affect me but I tire of seeing the carp angling community mugged off left right and center by fishery owners.

Glad I got rid of my ticket in 2011....... 
Their forming a new fishing club and all current debentures are being transferred to it........what that means is they are worthless and wouldn't surprise me if that club is folded in the next few years owing no body nothing.
Dave owns the fishing rights but his wife owns the land.......or that's what it used to be......

Blimey that is a shame fell sorry for the current members - as Wayne said think we left at the right time...had some fantastic memories though

So yep, apparently a new fishing club is in the pipe line.
I expect there to now be a higher yearly fee attached to this and i imagine it wont be exclusive to the 'ex debenture holders'
Fortunatly iv had more than my moneys worth but my my intentions were to hand it down to my son.
