Anyone use the r1 or r2 beds it looks like there's around 2 inches in size between the two is the r1 compact ok size wise and are they comfortable feedback please

Can't comment on the R1 bud but the R2 is plenty comfy enough, I have a Cyprinus Magmatex bag on it and in no rush to change.

Not a fox, but I would recommend the carp spirit magnum bedchair. I bought one for the mrs, but it's so comfortable I will take it on short sessions as it's smaller and lighter than ny flatliner FX. England Angling have one available and less than £150.
