Hi lads after some feedback on the cyprinus typhoon bivvy not the mh version
Has anyone had any issues with it.
I've heard of poles snapping at block is this still an issue or have cyprinus modified the problem ?
It's a toss up between this and a tempest 100 bivvy
How is the zip in ground sheet is it a pain ?
The materials sound similar but it doesn't say breathable on cyprinus website.

I had the MH version and it was ok, material faded very quickly, the poles were a pita to get apart, didn't have any issues with the zip in groundsheet but it was very HD, moved it on and got a Frontier which is everything the Cyprinus could have been.

Had one for a little while and in my very limited use I haven't experienced a problem although a friend who purchased his with mine on special offer had the block snap 1st time out, to be honest it isn't the best design and I do wonder if it was damaged at the installation stage as the wall thickness either side of the bolts that secure it aren't particularly thick and it looks like a cast part but for the price we got them for I was willing to take a punt. I also can't comment on the groundsheet as I don't use them but on the plus side it's roomy, very quick to set up and very rigid too.

Mine has been fine.......if I get 2 seasons out of it then it's money we'll spent for the amount I paid for it.......

There is a knack to putting them up, doing it wrong can break the block, the storm poles are junk, wouldn't lock tight enough so ended up using some fox cam locks I had.

Had mine almost a year now and no issues at all.
Just avoid the DPM version..... fabric a major issue - got shot of it after a few uses as it was failing..... Normal green is great and durable.
I have the DPM version and absolutely love it. Mine has the condensation barrier and winter skin skull cap and ground sheet and I paid £250 for the lot. The zip in groundsheet is mint, I love it. No bugs or anything. Why anyone would pay £800 plus for the trakker version is beyond me, more money than sense.
The alloy block on mine looks bombproof, no issues with poles either. In fact, it hasn't misbehaved in any way. Mine now is about two years old and the DPM is the same as it was when new, with no discoloration at all. I think most folk that moans are either heavy-handed or just like to moan. I like mine so much that when it does eventually die, ill get another.

I've had the dpm version for about a year, just a couple of issues for me, the storm poles are not strong enough, where the magnet thing hangs down the screw snapped but cyprinus sent me 2 new ones the next day and the last thing is the like backing material on the inside is slowly coming off,
Been told this may be due to packing it away wet and not drying it after?
Same as above I paid 250 for mine so still think it's a bargain

Mate has one seems alright for the money, the toggles for the pegs have come off almost straight away on the first session and the cyprinus logo was put on upside down but the bivvy it's self was alright and lasted him a while since he has had it, I paid a bit extra and got the tempest now got the frontier X aswell but you won't be disappointed with a typhoon if that's what you want bud

Yes sadly packing it away wet causes it to delaminate and basically its knackered
