Any users ? there, by far the most expensive alarms Nash sells......so why are they so costly and is it worth it ?

They have 2 more sinsitivity settings, one for if using your rods on a boat, i thonk they alow for 30cm of line movement before they go into speed sensing mode. One for if your fishing masive continetal waters with big waves, that setting allows for q5cm of movement before going into speed sensong mode. Other settings are the same as the R3.
You can also change LED colour in them, and also you can see the LED from any angle.
Thats the differences
Had R3 for years, great alarms, reciever was a bit cheap looking, pushed little plastic inserts into it to chamge the LED colour. Fantastic battery life.
Speed sensing? Well i couldnt tell the differens from my old Delk Txi.
I then got the new delks sold them and baught Fox RX+ as i didnt get on with them.

I swapped from the R3s to R4 at the beginning of the year and I am very impressed with them. They have some nice additional features such as LED changing, drop back notification, use AA batteries, quick change bobbin attachment, light for boat work and USB chargeable receiver. Like the R3s they are very reliable, only bleep when they are meant to - not like delks that bleep every time it rains! However, are they worth the price tag? I wouldn't say they are and the introduction of the R4s make the R3s an incredible deal at the moment.

Apart from bleep when there meant to isn't true. Been on a lake with a lad this week and his R3s wouldn't shut up in the wind. Was a nice chop on the water though.

I don't think many people bother to adjust the sensitivity of the R3's according to conditions, much the same as with Delkims. If set up as intended they'll massively cut down the false bleeps.
