heads up rx plus users.. I sent Dal one of my rx plus yesterday as it was moving 145-160mm on lowest setting before indication (should be 90mm). Already fixed, faulty wheel(probably a magnet he said)...on way back tomorrow :-). bit of a god send having a dedicated guy with fox spares for the alarms. £20 for new wheel and labour.

Knows his stuff does Dal. Did me a transmitter setup in a set of old ava alarms a couple of years ago, nice quick turnaround and didnt charge me a great deal of money to do it

It's the emergence of people like Dal who have enabled many people to keep well loved alarms going once the manufacturers discontinue them and won't repair them any more. I ditched my RX digitals due to Fox not wanting to support after sales on them, something I always regretted. I now send my stainless Nash Neville's to him and he's installed radio transmitters, underlit rollers, three way switching which coupled with an ATTX reciever for variable tone, LED colours and vibrate mode gives me all the bells and whistles I need.

Going back to this and this might be useful for rx plus users experiencing alignment tightening issues. I've owned a few sets of these over the years for various reasons and I think every set I've had 1 alarm doesn't tighten down to the same place as the others, very frustrating. Now I know you can use rubber/leather washers, but different amounts of washers on alarms will result in uneven rods, albeit some won't care , but the OCD/anxiety in me cannot handle it. I have now found that if you use the harder stepped compression washers (2 that go together) that they tighten down all facing same way and its very tight, no movement at all, all nice and straight on buzz bars. However 1 of the alarms tightened but faced other way to others. Having a hockey stick on 2 alarms took 6 turns and the other 5.5. Dal said all the threads are machined the same so in theory should he same result. All he had to do was turn the thread back to front on the rogue alarm and voila now exactly same as others. 6 turns and very tight all facing same way, no movement at all which you can get with using standard compression washers.
This maybe useful, maybe not and I maybe being pedantic but it's my own issues and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. Just stating there is a quick fix if this sort of thing gets your goat like it does me!

One of mine has a noisy/squeaky roller wheel.
Is there an easy fix for this? If not I'll probably send them off to daletronics over winter. The obvious shout would be a quick squirt of wd40, but I'm sure it's been said before this can damage the circuit board?

he replaced a wheel on mine, was 27.95 special delivery next day. the thread alignment was a tenner delivered

Dal is a honest bloke, if it just needs a squirt of something he'll advise., maybe a spray containing silicone but I know Delkim will refuse to mend alarms if they have been sprayed, especially with WD40 LINK

The man can work miracles. I bought a rather beaten up set of RX digis and sent them off for a service before I spruced them up ready for a sale (see Classifieds). Dal did a fantastic job on the heads and receiver, and I cannot recommend him highly enough.
