Has anyone successfully removed graphics/ logos etc from a rod blank? I have a set of rods that are lovely, aside from a gaudy graphic above the reel seat. Obviously I dont want to damage the blank in any way. Any ideas?

Heat the section you want to remove with a heat gun fully rotating the blank slowly as you do it then razor blade off neatly. re epoxy resin ,simples.

My mate a rod builder says Stanley blade but the other side to the blade the thicker bit, it worked for me but depends if graphic is sat under varnish \ resin.

If its not under resin it will peel off easily with a little heat

The razor/stanley blades i use are available from hopkins holloway (guides and blanks if not a rod builder.) Ordinary stanley blades have a thin oil on them which does,nt bode well with epoxy resin.

Is it a sticker or screen print? If it's screen print some nail polish remover or hand sanitizer will do it!
