Thinking of a set of QDX's but wondered how close (buzzbar wise) the reels can be sensibly used? Like a nice tidy setup but nothing stupidly tight.

I have mine on solar p1 bars, standard adjustable front and back. I dont have them extended at all and find that to be pretty much spot on. Not sure id want them closer

I got a pair of custom basias on 10' Harrison's customs with jag 2 plus 1 buzz bars nice and compact for me and I extend the back one by one notch on the buzz bar so it's all tidy
