I'm in need of a new laptop. I've got a hp one at the moment. Had it for about 7 years now. But its now not working properly. Question is what do you guys recommend as I'm out of touch with them now. I'm not wanting to spend loads of money. About £400 tops. I don't use it for anything technical as such just emails looking on the net. YouTube and so on. So what do you guys recommend

If you're only surfing and doing emails then then your existing laptop is probably still up to the job.
It probably just needs wiping clean and windows reloaded and it will run like the day you bought it.
If you can't do it yourself and don't know anyone maybe get a quote from a local shop?

I did look at the chrome book before the lap top I got. But no e of them seemed to have the dvd / cd slot on them which I need as do use it for watching dvds and music and so on. My laptop is now dead . And after about 7 years I don't think it worth spending the money on it when I can buy new for a few hundred pounds

I don't think many laptops have built in DVD drives anymore, an external USB drive would be the way forward?

When I changed my job, I didn't need my laptop as much as I used to, so I decided to sell it and buy a tablet for personal use. I also decided not to buy a new tablet, but found a great refurbished iPad on the site of a refurbished tablets UK supplier. It's not so important for me that it was a new tablet, the main thing is that it works well. In addition, this store provides a warranty period, return options and free shipping over £100.
