Hi all.

Can people recommend a carp chair that still
Uses shock cord elastic at least on the base.

Really not interested in anything else as I've tried without.

Don't think your gonna have any luck with that as that is the only type of day chair I will use with elastic around the frame both top and bottom as find them the most comfortable . I couldn't find any that are currently available on the market all seem to be just material stitched around the frame with lumber support underneath

Don't think there is such a thing any more ... I'm still using an old battered jrc cocoon fully sprung one , it's outlasted a tracker one which split and fell to bits, even enquired at an upholsterers to get it reupholstered, I'd buy one if one came out

Just re elasticated mine for the 2nd time. It's a bit bent but does the job, I could sleep on a linning line though

I blame Nash with his poxy indulgence chairs
Loads of padding and no elastic. Lots of carpers ran off and said it was the best chair they ever bought. Then said the padding flattened
And it was hard to sit on.

But I guess by then all the carp companies worked out that it was much cheaper
To.make a padded camp chair than half a bedchair.
