Hi all,
I have been fishing the ub baits plum and maple airballs and have been doing extremely well on them but sadly Ryan has now closed the buisness, was just wondering if anyone would happen to know the recipe and levels so I can try and roll my own, have a France trip coming up and was hoping to take these over with me.
Many thanks guys

If you are unable to get the exact recipe, why not get some of the basemix of the feed baits that you will be taking to France, sieve it, add some egg albumin and buy some Plum & Maple flavouring, if you dont need a lot then take a look at BaitBoosters, which is the CatchItLabs flavours in smaller bottles.

I use the JB Plum in some of my hook baits and the Maple+ from BAF. Having said that for my feed baits Im switching onto the catch it plum as I use a lot of their other flavours and find them really good and cost wise for feed baits I cant justify the price difference JB about £18 for a small bottle, Catchit about £20 for a litre. They also do an EA version of plum as well as the std oil version, Im probably going to use this for a winterised version.

JB's plum is (iMO) the best on the market.
Maple wise, Poachers maple he uses in the TNM is really nice, ive used that for some years now

I know it doesn't account for all of it, but JB's flavours are really concentrated - he recommends 1-2ml of Plum per 6 eggs. Whilst some might say "so, it's just concentrated" that means less solvent, so less bitter/nastiness in them than a lot of flavours.

It could very well be the emulsification properties / solubility of the base components are working symbiotically with other ingredients in the mix, where more significant amounts may benefit?
For example a lot of people add neat spirits to baits and pastes etc, a match man in my local pub when I was younger always waxed lyrical about vodka / rum in pellet paste and he caught a lot of fish, and the winter months you always hear about baileys, I'm sure the alcohol content has something to do with its effectiveness.

I rate them both very highly.
Also lost without my plum and squid bobbers , decided to have a go myself would you guys suggest the JB flavours too? Also these were bright white if anyone could point me in the direction of the powders pleeeeeese

I have always heard good review about the John Baker plum flavour, so i ordered a bottle of it 4 or 5 years ago.
I used it at various level for pop-up and at 1ml per 6 egg's in my various base mix.
I fished 3 different water with it, and compared to my other bait (sometimes the same basemix, just without the plum)....... it was night and day! If i remember rightly, i only caught 6 carps with the bait with it (during a 2 year period....) when on the same time the baits without it produced a lot of fish ????
Am i the only one to have poor results with this flavour ??? Is it water dependant? (im sure nobody have used it in the past , i'm in france and you cant buy John Baker product here)

I buy mine on Johnson ross, before brexit took place, but sure nobody else have used it on those water, so fish should not have been wary of it.
Is it an alkaline flavour by any chance?
