Yes theyve always been 2ba, matrix is definitely the same, not sure about mcf as never have any of their indicators.
I believe its only fox and maybe nash that dont use 2ba, but i may be wrong about that

I think Nash use M5. I would ideally like to use the stainless arms that they have with the sliding weight, but I don't think that they will fit and would rather not use adapters.
Other option is the MCF bike chains or the Matrix quiver type arms as I would like to be able to have a bit of tension to the lead.

2ba and M5 are near enough interchangeable, you'll only have a problem if your going metal to metal. There's enough give plastics/acrylic to give a fit.
