How much do they charge each year to stay on the waiting list?
I'm sure my mate said it was something like £800 but no sure if that's right, I know it comes off your ticket when you join so like a deposit but it's non refundable.

Have you contacted the owner ?
The waiting list is currently closed and reopen next year. Application is by recommendation only.
Prospective members will be asked to attend an interview. Anyone not wishing to take up their ticket when it comes up will be removed from the list and lose their deposit.

Yes I spoke to him a couple of years ago but couldn't remember how much per year you had to pay to stay on the list.

As Scaley & Dark said the list is closed and when he opens it again you will need a personal recommendation to even get an interview. Then there is a charge to get on the list in the first place, (you don't get this off your ticket) then it was £100 per year to stay on the list, which does come off your ticket when you eventually get offered one.

I totally understand that Grenville has an incredible stock, and the demand for tickets is huge, but the bloke's taking the p*ss. Pay to get on the waiting list, pay to stay on the waiting list, and if you can't take your ticket you lose all your money? What if you have an I'll relative that needs looking after, or have just had a baby and want to defer for a year? He's having a laugh.

I'm sure he would understand if someone had to defer for personal reasons just speak to him, he's not some sort of Monster...

Don't worry, with money being as tight as it will be over the next few years you will be able to get straight on there before long.

You could look at it like that or following years of investment and hard work he's cashing in while he can, one big fish kill and potentially it could all go down the ****ter in one go all the big fish hunters would disappear and he'd be left with building it back up probably stocking doubles or maybe twenties and having to start all over at a lower ticket price.
Don't know the man but best of luck to him he can run it as he sees fit.

Just like all the other big fish water owners then....plenty of them charging the same sort of money, (and more in some cases) but don't get the same criticism levelled at them.

100% correct and always been this way.
I personally have benefitted many times from this, wouldn't know for sure if this applys to Grenville, but wouldn't be surprised if many have jumped the list.
