I've been using one for a while now and it's a quality pod I just wanted to know do owners think they are to light people have said that they only screw them down when on a platform i just feel I need to always peg it down can anyone tell me what you do and I have to have my reel handle at 9 or 3 o'clock otherwise it hits the bar only using 25 size reels and when I pick up a rod I have to hold pod with other hand otherwise the pod will be dangling off the rod but I watched a vid on pod and the reviewer said he wouldn't buy one again any feedback please

I have the micro version & have only used it a couple of times.
I think that is the point - they are a great lightweight option so you can use a pod when there is no alternative.
If you have to use a pod all the time then there may be designs that would function better, but that is then traded off against extra bulk and weight.

The reels hitting is nothing to do with the pod,thats the buzz bars you're using and there's many options from wider fixed bars to adjustable buzz bars.
with regards to the pegging the pod down I always as minimum put one in each opposite corner, only the very thin tent peg type though not bivvy pegs. being able to peg it down is one of the features I like about it..if fishing completely locked up I use 4 bivvy pegs.

The pod was designed with snag fishing in mind, so my guess is they expected it to be pegged or screwed down when in use therefore it's lightness isn't an issue. Even with swims that have sleepers at the front I think from memory you can use the centre upright with a stage bite and screw it in place. It's been a few years since I played with one now but I think that's right.

Yes I've been thinking of thin tent pegs and as for buzz bars I have a two rod 7 and 6 I can't go any wider really for 2 rods also I did buy it to use all the time the other thing is does anyone use 12 ft rods on there's or are you just using 9 or 10s

I have the micro carbon centre bar and the nano, I use the smaller for 9 and 10ft and the longer for 12ft set up.

had the micro/nano pod and personally never had any issues or the need to peg it down - what I didnt like was the fact that uyou would get twist on the stage stands unless you tightened it with an allen key
Personally much prefrerred the super compact but now have the RP1 and its by far my favourite of the 3 and the other two have sincebeen sold

you don't need to, I just preferred the longer bar with 12ft rods

RP1 looks in many ways the ultimate rod pod design - can't really fault it in any way, although perhaps would benefit from being able to splay the rods out but another inch on either side. That said I can't escape the feeling that goal posts of the super compact just look nicer than the triple upright design, even if they're slightly less practical.
And we all know what really counts with carp gear is how ally you look on the bank 😂

Thanks but I am asking about the nano people who own one or the micro as I have one and a

I bought the nano and have the micro inner bar
Ended up buying a 9” bank stick because I couldn't get the rods to sit right on platforms I fish so it's normally always used on the rear
It helps getting the tips down or level the rods better
You also have the option of sticking a bank stick right through the pod in to the ground but if I can I only use banksticks if I can
Using a bank stick also stops handle hitting middle bar
When I used to use my 316 stage stands I had to use a bank stick in the rear for same reasons ( Rods sitting right, don't know if it's because the size of my alarms, Fox Rx)

Thanks so you use the taller one that you get with it and use a 9 inch stick in rear thing is it's starting to add up micro inner bar plus bank stick plus as said tighten key starting to think it's a bad design you shouldn't have to make these changes seems to me the uprights should have been made longer would have sorted a few things out as I said a bloke on YouTube said he thought it was bad design wouldn't buy again caravan carpers if you want to look

Think my issue is more to do with the level of the platforms, height above water and the height of alarms
Bought the 9. “ stick due to my different fishing situations and bought nano pod for the compactness of the 2 rod bag as I carry it in my rucksack
