Best thing I have seen is the ones I sell in my shop (I don't do online so not after sales just giving a idea )they are a glazeable frame that has a polarised magnetic clip on that you can't even tell when on

They are not everyone's cup of tea but I have sold hundreds of them .I sell them complete with prescription lenses for £80 .There are a few makes and designs zipps do a few and London club you should be able to get them online or from a opticians

Yes agree braders not sold many of the round but they are not specifically for fishing and won't suit everyone but I think it's a great idea the first one comes with grey or Ray-Ban gray polarised clip on .Lots of people seem to buy them for driving they just leave the clip on in the car .

My problem is I wear varifocals
AND !!.........I love em being wearing them for over 25 years now bought the first pair in the USA at a fraction of the cost here at the time
I have for the past 15 years being wearing frameless glasses dread to think how much I have spent on glasses over the years lets be fair frameless glasses are just two arms and a joining bit of wire ?
and yet I was being charged from £169 upwards for just those 3 bits of wire then the lenses and coatings and polarising all on top NEXT THING YOU KNOW ITS UP IN THE £260-£300 RANGE
until I discovered Asda opticians and saved an absolute fortune COMPLETE GLASSES with premium designer frames for £110 or 2 pairs for £180
Oh and how I discovered how good Asda opticians were ?
was when then got a prescription and had the glasses made in all the high street opticians and 2 of the online outfits then took them all to a specialist optical laboratory and had them tested
the headline was how to save £400 on a pair of glasses the top lenses were from I think it was Dollond & Aitchison just 3 points less score was Asda Opticians at £400 cheaper !!!! it beat about 12 other opticians
I do like the sound of the simplicity of clip on Polarised lens though not sure if its available for frameless glasses though ?

My dad has these or something very similar from select specs. I think they are great and will get some next time I am due. I can't get used to the fortis over glasses I have.

Funny you should say that as I had pretty much made my mind up to buy the Fortis ones, might still do but a friend has given me some clip on polarised ones to try so will give them a go beforehand

The lenses sometimes fall out of my fortis ones as well. Which isn't right either.

I get loads of people who cannot see with Asda /Tesco Specsavers varifocals etc .For a start they mainly use poor quality lenses with narrow zones.Secondly they are almost always poorly fitted .Time and time again at least half a dozen a week people come in complaining they cannot get on with varis from above places .When I check them out nearly every time they don't line up the heights or pds are wrong or the actual varifocal s are running up or down or sometimes both and once they were upside down IE the reading at the top They employ unskilled staff in mass factories ..Quite often I will write a note Wats wrong and tell people to take them back .More often than not they get fobbed off because the person checking them hasn't a clue or doesn't understand .Rarely do they admit things and sort it out .It's happened twice out of hundreds.It's terrible and someone needs to be checking the standards out from these places .Incidentally my cheap entry level varifocals are equivalent to supermarket top of the range wide view lenses .I just wouldn't sell the junk they do .Was always going to happen when they allowed anyone and supermarkets to sell .them .Been making specs for 40years so no exactly what I am talking about

Asda, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Walmart and I dont believe they use cheap crap as your implying
I am very fussy and as I been wearing varifocals for well over 20 odd years trust me I know if something is wrong
and had I think its 10 pairs from them without any issue I can only speak as I find I have recommended ASDA opticians to lots of friends and family and not heard any of them having problems just gratitude they hare saving hundreds of pounds yes of course nothing is 100% all the time and the % is greater if your selling thousands and thousands
