I dont know whether anyone ever finds themselves alone on a lake. I've come out this weekend expecting to find my club water rammed and its empty.
If you need a bit more light when you are alone, and not interfering with anyone else, have a think about a driveway solar movement activated LED light.
This is rigged up to a camera tripod which through the day fixes my ND Tackle wifi extender.
But I have it facing the bivvy and as soon as I'm out of the door the light comes on illuminating my swim making life so much easier in the dark.
Only tried this last night and really impressed with it, but as above, whilst it's a big help through the dark, I wouldn't advocate using it, if you thought you might be interfering with other anglers, but if your totally alone it might be a bit of help for you.
If it helps one or two of you every now and again it will have been worth posting this idea.

It's a really good idea I had a cheap version around 1995 I can't remember the name screwed to bank stick it came on when came out bivvy also keeps rats away they would trigger it so I found it was waking me all night keep coming on but a brilliant idea for sorting a fish out in dark

They are the ebay deal buckets mate - quite a bit of spod stuff there plus some made up bags, loose boilies etc.
With regards to the LED, I think this one has a sensitivity adjustment but it might also act against anyone walking past your bivvy as a bit of a anti theft deterrent?
Might be used also in a very secluded peg where its obvious that you wont interfere with anyone else.

That's a good price thought it would be a lot more as I say very handy with fish in dark trouble is you know what some of these lakes are like if to many people are using them they wil ban it the one I had was advertised as anti theft

It's very bright for its size, I think it has two light modes so you can control the brightness aswell. But I think it's just handy for those situations where you wont bother anyone else.

when I used to fish a lake in southern France
I was normally the only one that night fished it the locals jus day fished so I had a couple of solar powered post lights
