Last year I purchased a spod rod (Free Spirit CTX) and I am having an issue with it.
When I swing back the spomb behind my head and cast, its sending an almighty Ping down the rod unless I twist the rod so the braid sits correctly in the tip.
Its annoying because I can keep momentum when I swing back before the cast. Has anyone else had this issue?

Braid flicking off the side of the tip eye, happens on my cheap wychwood one too.

Fortunately upgrading a tip ring is the easiest of all the rings to replace on a fishing rod and can easily be accomplished by anyone capable enough to be able to tie a rig .

Could be worse mate, I had this on a new set of harrison torrixs, have to twist the rod before every cast, or it pings off and goes array.
Not what you'd expect for the money.
But spodding must be a mare.
