Any members of Crown lakes on here? Been offered a ticket for this season, wasn't really expecting it this year as I was quite a long way down on the waiting list.

I'm on it.
TBH I struggled last year, along with most (I have rejoined).
The fish show but they're mostly showing in 30' of water so catching them/working out zig depths is another thing. All the swims are enclosed so you don't generally get bothered by the public. The swims are quite a long walk (with the exception of 2).
The general public can be a pain in the summer, but you just have to ignore them. Occasionally a dog may swim by but given how deep it is, I'm not bothered by it.
It's a really nice lake, and still good value even though it doubled in price this year.
You can buy pellet directly at cost price i.e. £25 per 25Kgs

Thanks for the reply, all sounds positive enough think I'll join as I won't get the 40 pound deposit back.
Thought it had gone up as when I paid the deposit it was 90 a year, bit naughty that after I'd paid the deposit

My mate has just joined this year , i call him Dangerous Brian , he has just got back in to carping after a very long lay off so will keep an eye out to see how you get on, good luck
